Can you bathe here with a tattoo?

This is the question we built the site around, so we answer it per situation.

The baths

Private (kashikiri) bath

All five bathrooms - two private open-air baths ('Roku no Yu' and the large 'Go no Yu' and 'San no Yu' with 360-degree views) and two private indoor baths ('Ichi no Yu', 'Ni no Yu') - are run as private baths, booked on arrival in 60-minute slots. Currently unavailable: the bath house is closed for renovation.

Overnight guests only

A private bath means nobody else is in the water with you — often the practical answer if the shared baths are closed to tattooed guests.
