Indoor bath fed by the natural Arashiyama hot spring - a simple spring (hypotonic, weakly alkaline), 35.2 degrees at source, pH 7.80 - plus a 'silky bath' clouded with micro-bubbles.

Open-air rock bath in central Arashiyama, with seasonal 'kawari-yu' baths (fruit and the like floated in the water) at times of year.

- ¥1,200The rate table on the official top page reads 1,200 yen on weekdays and 1,400 yen at weekends and on public holidays for adults (junior-high age and up); 600 yen for ages 3 to primary school and 300 yen for under-3s on any day. Note that the site's own price page still shows two older tables (1,100/1,300 and 1,000/1,200), so budget for the higher figure. Bath towel rental 250 yen, face towel 150 yen. There is no restaurant on site.
