The one bath in Arima with a real outlook: the top-floor Unkai bathing area sits high on the hillside and looks out over the valley and the town. It is a large resort hotel drawing both kinsen and ginsen, so expect facilities and crowds rather than intimacy, and a climb up from the station.

Several bathing areas: the top-floor 'Unkai' with a view over the valley, 'Yurari' on B2 (sections 'Sha-no-yu' and 'Ki-no-yu', which are swapped between men and women on set dates), and the Aqua Terrace. Both kinsen and ginsen waters.

IMPORTANT: private baths are for staying guests only — the official wording is that day visitors may not use them (日帰りのお客様はご利用いただけません). Reservation by phone or at check-in, up to 5 people, usable 07:00-22:10. 'Akane' 3,500 yen / 50 min or 4,850 yen / 70 min; 'Hatsune' 3,000 yen / 50 min or 3,800 yen / 70 min. One of the private baths is step-free and wheelchair accessible.
