The only one of Bessho's three 300-yen bathhouses fed with pure free-flowing spring water and no recirculation, which makes it the pick for anyone here for the water rather than the building. Indoor bath only, a few minutes from the station in a village of old temples.

Indoor bath only. Fed by the No.3 source as pure free-flowing spring water with no recirculation - the only one of the three Bessho bathhouses that is not partly recirculated. Associated with the priest Jikaku Daishi.

300 yen flat. Bessho has three of these small public bathhouses, each 300 yen, each closed on a different weekday, so on any given day at least two of the three are open. Children of elementary school age and under bathe free on the 26th of each month. Coin-return valuables lockers (100 yen) are provided.

In the Bessho Onsen village, a short walk from Bessho-Onsen Station, the terminus of the Ueda Dentetsu Bessho line from JR Ueda Station (Hokuriku Shinkansen). No car needed; the three bathhouses are all within a few minutes' walk of each other.
