The baths
Private (kashikiri) bath
Every bath here is a private family bath, and each one sits inside its own greenhouse planted with the flower it is named after ('Ran' orchid, 'Yuri' lily, 'Ajisai' hydrangea and so on). The roofs are clear, so daylight floods in. Sodium chloride spring. Each room has a cascade bath (utase-yu) falling from height like a strong massage, and floral shampoo is provided.

A private bath means nobody else is in the water with you — often the practical answer if the shared baths are closed to tattooed guests.

- ¥1,8001,800 yen per room for 60 minutes on weekdays, 2,000 yen on weekends and holidays. There is also a weekday 'service time' rate of 600 yen per person between 10:00 and 17:00, which is much cheaper for one or two people - ask for 'service time' at the desk. Open every day. Towel rental costs extra. Home-made onsen pudding 400 yen.
