A ninety-year-old wooden bathhouse that is a genuine landmark of Koenji and still the neighbourhood's daily bath, ten minutes by train from Shinjuku. It is ordinary heated water, indoors only, and once you are dressed there is nowhere inside to sit.

Day visits: Yes — you can bathe without staying overnight.
Weekdays 14:00-25:30 (i.e. 01:30 the next morning); Saturdays, Sundays and holidays 08:00-25:30. Closed Thursdays.
Day visit price: ¥600
600 yen for adults, the Tokyo ordinance-controlled bathhouse rate raised from 550 yen on 1 August 2026.
Staying overnight: No
Getting there: In Koenji-kita, Suginami-ku. The official site describes it as ten minutes from Shinjuku, Tokyo's major terminal; Koenji Station on the JR Chuo Line is the local stop.
