- ¥800Adult 800 yen, child 500 yen, cash only. This is the one thing a Kinosaki-style bath crawl in Shibu will not give you: eight of the nine sotoyu are locked and reserved for people staying overnight in Shibu, who are lent a key by their inn and use all nine for free. Day visitors can enter only the ninth bath, O-yu, and only between 10:00 and 17:00. Buy the ticket at the Shibu Onsen tourist information office or at one of the inns near O-yu (Kanaguya, Katei, Yumoto Ryokan, Matsuya, Hishiya, Ikariya).

- In the middle of the Shibu Onsen lane, about a 10-minute walk from Yudanaka Station (terminus of the Nagano Dentetsu line from Nagano) or a short bus ride. Same valley as the Jigokudani snow monkeys. Day visitors should use the paid Shibu Onsen car park; the lane itself is too narrow for cars.
