The baths
Indoor bath
Indoor main bath on the 2nd floor. The facility has two spring types - milky white sulphur and clear simple alkaline - and recommends bathing in the sulphur bath first, then the simple spring.
Open-air bath
Large sulphur open-air bath on the 1st floor with jacuzzi and magnesium tubs, looking down over Beppu Bay. Men's and women's sides swap between the 1st-floor open-air and 2nd-floor indoor baths on odd and even days.
Private (kashikiri) bath
Five private open-air baths fed by the sulphur spring - rare in Myoban. One of them is barrier-free.
A private bath means nobody else is in the water with you — often the practical answer if the shared baths are closed to tattooed guests.

- Yes — you can bathe without staying overnight.10:00-22:00 (last reception 21:00); private open-air baths 11:00-20:00 on weekdays, 10:00-20:00 weekends and holidays
- Day visit price
- ¥1,3001,300 yen for the main baths (junior high 600 yen, elementary 400 yen). Private open-air baths are 2,000-2,500 yen per hour depending on the room and the day. A stone-sauna (ganbanyoku) plus bath set is 1,900-2,500 yen. Closed once a month for maintenance (date varies).
