A neighbourhood bathhouse with an unusually good source: the flow is large and hot enough that the water needs no reheating, and it runs continuously into the tub. Simple alkaline water. Indoor only, no frills.

- Yes — you can bathe without staying overnight.15:00-22:00 (last reception 21:30); 13:00-22:00 from 1 July to 31 August and 1 December to 31 March

- ¥600Adults 600 yen, elementary school children 300 yen, younger children free. Closed on Wednesdays and the 3rd Tuesday, which can shift around public holidays. Note the afternoon opening: it does not open in the morning at any time of year.

- At 1-1-8 Yuzawa, about 3 minutes' walk from the east exit of JR Echigo-Yuzawa Station - the closest real communal bathhouse to the station, and the winter opening from 13:00 lines up with coming off the slopes. About 5 minutes by car from the Yuzawa interchange.
